  How do I save my chosen video ?

The video files you have chosen, have to be saved under the ending *.flv. Here an example from YouTube: get_video has to be saved as get_video.flv. The browser Firefox 2.0 saves the downloaded video files directly in the right format.

  What are *.flv files ?

Flv is the abbreviation for Flash-Video.
This file format is used among other things to import video files from the internet to the Adobe Flash Player to make the files accessible so you are able to play them back.
