Boom Beach is the latest title of Freecell, who landed with Clash of Clans a major app hit in August 2012. Since then Clash of Clans has gotten several updates and kept consistently near the top of the charts - Freemium games can obviously work if you make it right. With Boom Beach, the developers want to repeat their success. So it is no wonder that there are noticeable parallels between Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. Both games are Free 2 Play-strategy games - but this time the developers settled the location on an island landscape. Basically Boom Beach is a war game in comic look.

Starting point of the game is a little island right in the middle of the ocean. On this island you can find your base. It is your task to expand your base with further playing time and to protect it against attackers. It is very important in the game that you always generate enough resources such as wood and gold, so that you can build new units and soldiers. To do this you need to conquer other islands, which are suppressed by the black guard - the enemy in the game. In order to conquer other islands, you have to equip landing ships with soldiers and to move them on a map to the surrounding islands. With a single tap you can set your soldiers to the beach, where they try to destroy all enemy units and to free the inhabitants of the island.
