DER SUPER MARIO GALAXY FILM ist der neue Animationsfilm, basierend auf der Welt von „Super Mario Bros.“ Das erste Mario-Abenteuer Der Super Mario Bros. Film startete 2023 in den Kinos, spielte weltweit mehr als 1,3 Milliarden Dollar ein und begeisterte in Deutschland mehr als 5 Millionen Kinozuschauer.

Der Super Mario Bros. Film und DER SUPER MARIO GALAXY FILM wurden federführend von Chris Meledandri (Illumination) und Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo) produziert.

Universal Pictures und Nintendo fungieren als Co-Produzenten. Den weltweiten Filmverleih übernimmt Universal Pictures.

DER SUPER MARIO GALAXY FILM entstand erneut unter der Regie der beiden Filmemacher Aaron Horvath und Michael Jelenic. Matthew Fogel verantwortet ein weiteres Mal das Drehbuch. Brian Tyler komponierte auch für die Fortsetzung die Filmmusik.
