Célia and Helena of Mozambique are both mothers and both HIV positive. They're hoping they haven't passed the virus on to their babies. GLOBAL 3000 observed Célia and Helena for several months, through their pregnancies, the births and the babies'first HIV test a month afterwards.
One year on, and the two babies are tested again. Neither is infected – which is a great relief for their mothers. But Célia and Helena still have a daily struggle on their hands. Although they work six days a week, what they earn is below the official minimum wage. Célia’s parents take care of her children, and the whole family now live together. In Helena’s case it’s her sister who looks after her son and two daughters.
