The level of medical care and sanitary conditions in Ukraine's prisons is said to be unfit for human habitation. Illnesses such as tuberculosis, hepatitis and AIDS are rife. Today, at least half of Yulia Tymoshenko's cabinet are incarcerated in one of these prisons.
