At the Geneva Auto Show in 2008 already Opel attracted big attention
with a Meriva concept car. Nearly two years later - at the beginning of
March - there is the debut of the second generation Meriva. One of the
concept's highlights were the doors hinged to the A- and C-pillars but
no B-pillar. Those „Flex-Doors“ the new Meriva got as well – but for
safety reasons also a B-pillar. There are many more clever ideas built
in. And that is why this new Meriva will again actuate a lot of motions
within the compact van segment.
