The Chevrolet Volt debuts in Europe, just in time for the carmaker's 100th anniversary.In 1911, the Swiss-born Louis Chevrolet founded his car company in the United States, alongside William Durant. Chevy now sells vehicles in more than 130 countries worldwide. The Volt has been named"Green Car of the Year"in the United States. The electric car allows drivers to travel up to 80 kilometers on a single charge. A 1.4 liter gas engine serves as back-up, allowing the Volt to travel another 500 kilometers.
